Ms. Winther

Welcome Families,

With a passion for education and child development, I earned a Bachelor of Science in Child Psychology from the University of Minnesota, followed by a Master of Education in 1-6 education from the same institution. For the past 30 years, I have been dedicated to teaching in this district, fostering a love of learning and growth in my students. Each year brings new opportunities to inspire, support, and guide young minds on their educational journeys.

I believe that every student can learn and thrive by embracing the diverse perspectives, ideas, and cultures they bring into my classroom each day. My teaching is shaped by my rich background in traveling, spending time with my large family and church, reading, playing tennis, and attending every sport, play, or musical performance my nieces and nephews participate in. Family is incredibly important to me—I now have two wonderful great-nieces, and I love spending my vacations visiting them in California and Arizona. Every summer, I also take time to travel overseas to recharge and gain fresh inspiration for the upcoming school year. One of my favorite traditions is celebrating my nephews' and nieces' high school graduations with special trips together, creating unforgettable memories along the way!
