A Little About The Teacher
Hello families!
My name is Teresa Vogelgesang and I am one of the PreK teachers here at HPE!
This will be my 20th year teaching at HPE and in St.Paul Public Schools. I taught kindergarten and 3rd grade before moving to PreK 5 years ago, and I am so happy I made the move. PreK is so much FUN!
I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls with a degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood. I attended the University of St. Thomas where I earned a Certificate in Learning Technologies and took classes toward earning my Masters Degree. I have also taken many professional workshops for the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP), reading, writing, math, and technology.
My wonderful husband, Brian, and I have a daughter, AJ, in middle school and a son, Tony, in first grade. We like being outside together! We love to bike, swim, go on walks, and frequent the playgrounds in our neighborhood. Our latest adventure is teaching our kids how to use a bow and arrow. Our favorite games to play together are Phase10 and Sorry! When I'm not at school, I enjoy reading, singing, watching movies, traveling, and being with my family. I love Dove chocolate, diet Coke, Caribou Coffee, and french fries.

This is our class webpage. It is filled with great information about the class and will be updated on a regular basis. I encourage you to check here often for updates as we will be adding photos and other information.
Watch for newsletters to come home weekly. Newsletters will keep families informed about class happenings, volunteer opportunities, and any special supplies we may need.
