Hello Highland Park Elementary families! My name is Srta.Melisa, and I am thrilled to be your Spanish Specialist for a third school year. I am excited to share my passion for the Spanish language and culture with your children. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy staying active through regular workouts and spending time outdoors with my family during the summer months. Recently, I celebrated a special milestone by getting engaged to my fiancé, Manuel, in December. As an aunt to six wonderful nieces and nephews, I have a deep appreciation for the importance of family and community. I am also a huge fan of Futbol (Soccer), which often brings me joy and excitement. 

In the classroom, my goal is to create engaging and interactive lessons that not only teach Spanish but also foster a love for learning and cultural exploration. I believe that language learning should be fun and accessible to all, and I look forward to working with you and your child throughout the year.
