Full-Day Kindergarten for All Minnesota Children
We would like to encourage the Minnesota Legislature to fully fund all-day Kindergarten for every Minnesota child. Numerous studies have supported the results of all-day Kindergarten. It is our belief that schools which charge a fee for full-day Kindergarten programs discriminate against precisely the children who need to be there the most. Currently Minnesota, which has always been a national leader in education, is falling behind by not requiring that all students attend all-day Kindergarten.

If you are interested in writing a letter of support for fully funded all-day Kindergarten, please use the attached letter as a guide (see below). You should write to your own representatives in the Minnesota House and Senate, but you may also consider writing to members of the House and Senate Committees that focus on K-12 education. You will find links below to their address information.

The following link connects to the MN Legislature District Finder so you can find out who your representatives are: http://geo.commissions.leg.state.mn.us/districts/start.html
